Jeff Pinkston DVM
Dr. Jeff has been associated with the veterinary field his entire life. He can remember as a very young child playing on the x-ray table while his mom and dad did emergency surgeries in the middle of the night. He started working at Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital when he was eleven as a kennel boy and occasional receptionist. He continued to help out at the hospital and on his parent’s horse farm through high school and while attending Mott Community College. He then transferred to MSU, where he obtained his Bachelors and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. He came back to Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital after graduation in 1994 where he worked as a veterinary associate for six years. He then worked at Companion Animal Hospital until January of 2008 when he purchased Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital from his father. Since then he and his wife, Aubri, have worked hard to expand and update the practice. They have two lovely daughters, two dogs; Phoebe a Bernese Mt. Dog/Standard Poodle mix and Jackson, a Newfoundland, two cats; Beau and Cooper and two fish.
Keri Florida DVM
Dr. Keri Florida completed her under graduate work at the University of Michigan–Flint. She then went on to complete her first year of veterinary school at St. George’s University in the Caribbean. After completing her first year, she transferred to the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana where she graduted in 2013 with a doctorate in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Keri has a special interest in brachycephalic breeds (like English Bulldogs) and the Chinese Shar-pei. Her home consists of bully breed dogs, including English Bulldogs, and two cats. Outside of work, Dr. Keri enjoys baking, decorating and home improvements as well as spending time with her pets. She is ecstatic to join Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital and is looking forward to forming long lasting bonds with you and your four legged family members.
Kevin Stewart DVM
Dr. Stewart was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology from Michigan State University in 1983, and graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Stewart has a special interest in surgery. When not working at the clinic, Dr. Stewart likes hunting, photography and enjoying the outdoors.

Kimberly Doyle DVM
Dr. Kim Doyle was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette acquiring a bachelors degree in science. Her veterinary studies were completed at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. She completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University before moving to Michigan with her husband, Dr. Cody Doyle, in June of 2013. Outside of work, Dr. Kim enjoys reading, spending time with family and playing with her Jack Russell/Rat Terrier son named Reggie. She is very grateful to join the Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital team and is excited to share a little New Orleans culture with everyone.
Krista Kline DVM
Dr. Kline was born and raised in Swartz Creek, Michigan. She is a 1997 graduate of Swartz Creek High School and a 2002 graduate of University of Michigan-Flint, with a bachelors degree in biology. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Dr Kline was employed and also volunteered at Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital. She is a 2007 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kline and her husband, Ben, who is also a small animal veterinarian, reside in Clarkston, with their two dogs, Cedar and Mango, both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and one cat named Punky Brewster. Dr. Kline has a special interest in cardiology and oncology. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, photography, and shopping.
Carole Cocagne DVM
Dr. Cocagne always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian, but she was side-tracked along the way. She first attended the Univeristy of Michigan and graduated with a bachelor degree in business administration in 1989. After working for a stock option trading company in Ann Arbor for three years she finally decided to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Carole Cocagne graduated Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, and has worked in small animal medicine ever since. She lives in Grand Blanc with her husband, Andy, and their two children Natalie and Matthew. She also shares her home with Ariana, a shetland sheepdog, and Ash, a pug. She enjoys traveling, camping, reading and most importantly HALLOWEEN.
Jennifer Griffin DVM
As a young child, Dr Griffin was actually extremely frightened of dogs. However, after her family cared for a rescue dog, named Midnight, the young Dr. Griffin experienced the compassion and love animals can give. She quickly grew to love them and decided at the age of six that she wanted to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Griffin grew up in the Chicago area and received her Bachelors of Science degree from Michigan State University in Wildlife Management. After graduating from the University of Illinois' College of Veterinary Medicine, she began her career working on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and started a family shortly thereafter.
Dr. Griffin's areas of interest include Internal Medicine, Laser Therapy, Dermatology, Pain Management and Behavioral Medicine.
Dr, Griffin, her husband and their two daughters recently moved up to Michigan to be closer to her family. Their 5 cats allow her, and her family to live with them, and their 5 dogs. When not at the clinic, she enjoys reading, gardening, camping and running, and spending time with her family.
Aubri Pinkston has been instrumental in developing the practice since purchased in 2008. Though Aubri is our practice manager, she wears many other hats around the hospital including accounting, inventory, receptionist, exam room assistant and occasionally emergency technician. She graduated from Mott College in 2002. She worked as a registered dental hygienist from 2002 to 2008. She loves spending time with her family, and adores her two daughters Emily and Ava.
Murphy has been with Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital since 1994. She was previously employed as a NHTSA contractor in Automobile Crash Research for 15 years and also with Grand Trunk Western Railway for 17 years. She and her husband, Jerry, have a farm in Gaines where they have resided since 1985. They have bred and shown Appaloosa Horses over the years. Murphy's interests outside of the Clinic include the horses, trail camping, gardening, reading and crocheting. Pets at home include the dogs: Rudy, the Jack-Rat terrier. Cooper, a terrier mix; Pepper and Roxy - the Australian cattle dogs. The house cat Katie, and many barn cats: Paula, Torti, Scooter, Shiloh and Christmas, Rintu and Toli. Their horses are - Danny, Dusty, Pumpkin, Amy and Tippy.
Amanda is a 2009 graduate from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been with Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital since the spring of 2010. Amanda is currently the Head of our Technician team. Amanda’s passions are in surgery, anesthesia, and management. She can be found helping out in all areas of the practice.
Amanda grew up in Byron and now resides in Durand with her loving husband and two adorable sons. Her pets include a horse, 2 dogs, a cat, and many fish and chickens. When not working she can be found caring for her family, watching her niece and nephew, helping out at her children's school, camping, reading, and spending time outside.
Jenna graduated from the Baker College - Veterinary Technology Program in 2015. She lives in Grand Blanc with her boyfriend, Nick, and their two cats Winston and Sophia. When not working in the clinic, Jenna enjoys cooking and baking, traveling, taking walks, and spending time with friends and family.
Alyssa is a 2008 graduate of the Baker College Veterinary Technology Program, and has worked in the veterinary field since 2006. She lives in Swartz Creek with her husband, Murphy, and their three cats, Alvin, Simon, and Dora.
Amber is a 2016 graduate of Baker College of Flint Veterinary Technician Program. She shares her life with her 3 horses, Gambler, Winchester, and Sierra; 2 dogs Kahlua and KoKo; and a cat, named M&M. When not in the clinic working, Amber spends her time sewing, camping, and trail riding with her horses.
Jen is a 2000 graduate of Wayne County Community College - Veterinary Technology Program. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Grand Valley State University. Jen has worked in veterinary medicine since 1996. She has experience in general practice, emergency/critical care, and avian medicine. She also has a special interest in guinea pigs and their care, complimentary veterinary medicine, and is a Reiki Master/Practitioner. Jen lives in Byron with her husband, Adam, their two children, and their family pets, 2 guinea pigs, named Niblet and S'mores. When not working in the clinic, Jen likes to read, paint, take photos, cook, hike, camp, fish, and spend time in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. She is also very passionate about the English Springer Spaniel breed, and is a volunteer with English Springer Rescue America, a national, breed-specific rescue. www.springerrescue.org.
Misty is a 2013 graduate of the Baker College Veterinary Technician Program. While studying to become a licensed technician, she worked at PAWS Animal Rescue and at the Detroit Zoo as part of her internship. She lives in Swartz Creek with her children and the family pets: McKenzie the chocolate labrador, Bebe, a Boxer/pittie mix, Dave, a Yorkie-poo, and the cats, Miss Baa, Mama, Rhesus and Mocha. Misty enjoys reading and singing karaoke, as well as spending time outdoors camping, kayaking, fishing and four-wheeling.
Stephanie is a 2014 graduate from Michigan State University's Veterinary Technology Program. She is from Linden, and lives with her sassy tuxedo cat, Chloe. When not working, Stephanie can be found out in the woods fishing, camping, cross-country skiing and just enjoying nature's beauty. She is also a die hard Detroit Tiger's baseball fan -- Eat 'Em Up!

Taylor graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Baker College of Flint in June 2017. Besides regular small animal practice, she has a special interest in reptiles and other exotic pets. Taylor is from Linden. She has a German Shepard/Husky mix named Casey, two cats named Salem and Sheik, and a Bearded Dragon named Reptar. When not at the clinic, Taylor enjoys running, hiking, kayaking and spending time with family, including her fur kids.
Sara graduated from the Baker College Veterinary Technician Program in 2015. She has a Yorkie/Dachshund mix, named Pippin. When Sara isn't spending time at work, she enjoys reading and playing volleyball.
Nikki has been with Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital since 2013. She grew up in the Byron area, but now resides in Fenton with her three dogs, Bella, Koda and Tucker, along with two cats, Lollie and Sampson.
Nikki helps keep the clinic in order, keeps all the patient wards clean, while she also assists the LVTs in treating patients and helps the receptionists. In her free time, Nikki likes to go horseback riding, play and coach volleyball, and spend time with her adorable nephews.

Teresa has worked for Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital since 1995. She is a jack-of-all-trades around the hospital, from checking in patients and answering phone calls, to helping with procedures and taking x-rays. Teresa has also added grooming and doggie day care/boarding to her job description, when not at Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital. She is part owner of Tails End, a grooming/day care/boarding facility right here in Swartz Creek.
Teresa lives on a farm in Gaines with her three sons, Michael, Riggs and Grayson, and her husband, Matt who trains race horses. Together they have a warmblood; Thunder who loves to trail ride, a jersey cow named Echo, and three dairy goats; Lily, Trixie and Alice. A turkey, some chickens and Guinnea hens roam her farm as well. Her family also includes 3 dogs; Hillbilly Antler a treeing walker hound; Poo T, a bulldog mix, and a chihuahua named Julio Thunderpants, Karoba, a Kenyan sand boa and 2 cats named Kotton Kitty and Tangerine Football. Teresa enjoys riding horses and spending time with her family and all of her animals. More than any job Teresa especially loves bottle feeding orphaned baby animals.
Tammy previously worked in animal rescue for about 7 years, with 2.5 years being at PAWS Animal Rescue, here in Swartz Creek. She also has a B.S. in Early Childhood Development.
Tammy lives in Gaines and has 2 daughters at home, one 5 yrs old and one 21 years old. She also has 2 dogs and 4 cats. When not spending her working hours at the clinic, Tammy likes to play board games with her 5 year old, go to the movies with her family, and spend time with her dogs.
Chantelle has been with Swartz Creek Veterinary Hospital since Jan 2015. She grew up in Fenton, but now lives in Swartz Creek with her husband, the youngest of her three children, and their two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, long walks with her husband and dogs, and camping.
Kimberlee has had lifelong experience caring for animals, growing up with horses and participating in horse shows. She also has two years experience working in a veterinary clinic taking care of boarding patients. Kimberlee shares her life with her two feline fur babies, Arty and Ty. When she isn’t working in the clinic, Kimberlee likes to camp, hike, play sports, listen to music, and attend concerts. She considers herself a travel-enthusiast with a cat obsession.
